Drop, snap, roll up
Group your desktop icons into corrals: containers you drop files into, drag around and snap together. Roll one up to a slim header when you're busy — hover it and it opens again. Dock a run along a screen edge and it stays there.
Turn one into an icon tile that pops its contents out when you click it, or a vertical strip that lives down the side of your screen.
Snapping, docking, groups
Corrals click to each other and to your screen edges. Two that touch already move as one — no setting, no mode. Lock a run and it stays a run, with its own row or column arrangement and spacing.

The Hidden Items vault
Some things shouldn't be on screen. Hold a key and a vault opens in the middle of your desktop; drag anything into it and let go. It's still on your disk, exactly where it was — just not on your desktop any more. Let go of the key and it's gone.

Does Corral move my files?
No. A corral draws a container around files that are already on your desktop. Every app, save dialog and backup on your machine still sees the same desktop it always did. Uninstall and nothing has moved.
What happens to my real desktop icons?
Corral hides the stock icon view while it runs and draws its own, so you don't see both. Stop Corral — or uninstall it — and Windows puts them straight back.
How do I get it after paying?
Your account is created automatically the moment payment succeeds, using the email address you paid with. We email you a password; sign in and the download is on your dashboard. No signup form, no licence key to copy.
Does it need an internet connection or an account?
The app needs neither. It has no network features at all — the account exists only on this website, so you can re-download it later.
Does it collect any data?
No telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting.
Does it need administrator rights?
No. It installs per-user.
Will it slow my machine down?
Not in normal use. Two optional features are perpetual animations — ambient motion and animated corral wallpapers — and running a lot of them at once does cost CPU. Both are off by default and both have a frame-rate setting.
Does it work with multiple monitors?
Yes. Corrals can live on any monitor and are kept inside the work area of the one they're on.
Which versions of Windows?
Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. Not Windows 8.1 or earlier, not 32-bit, not Windows Server.
Where are my settings stored?
In %AppData%\Corral\config.json — plain, readable JSON. Logs sit beside it.
Can I get my layout back if I break it?
Yes. Layout snapshots save a whole arrangement, including rules, and roll back to it.
